Treatment for a Soma Overdose
There are two main treatments that can be activated if an overdose with Soma 350mg tablets takes place. One method is gastric lavage [draining out of the contents of the stomach], and another way to overcome this problem is oral administration of activated charcoal. Vomiting should never be induced, as it can increase the risk of central nervous system and respiratory depression.
If the overdose is detected within an hour, or turns into a life-threatening condition, only then is the stomach cleared through gastric lavage. This method comprises of a tube being inserted through the mouth or nose to drain out the stomach’s contents. Small amounts of water or saline are administered and removed alternately [children are only given normal saline]. The physician may have to take an X-ray, or do pH testing of the stomach’s contents, or listen to the stomach, to make sure that the tube is not in the lungs.
The procedure involves close respiratory monitoring, and administration of fluids intravenously, in case of dehydration. The lavage itself is repeated until the stomach has been fully emptied. A suction device is used in case there is pulmonary aspiration of these contents. If somebody is unconscious, or is unable to protect the airways, then that patient has to be intubated before the gastric lavage takes place. Should other complications occur, medicines have to be given to control the conditions that may arise out of this treatment.
An alternative treatment for an overdose of Cheap Soma is the administration of activated charcoal, which is given orally. Activated charcoal is a form of carbon with a strong potential for binding poisonous substances, and it does not allow these to be absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, thereby giving relief to the patient.
Two other treatments that can be instituted are:- forced diuresis, or dialysis – hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. These can be conducted in an inpatient or outpatient facility; hemodialysis can be performed at home with a trained family member. This involves removal of waste in the form of creatinine, urea and free water from the blood.
It is important that you seek medical attention immediately if you believe that you may have overdosed on Generic Soma.
